It was only last month that Joel Torres dream of becoming a pro baseball player took a major hit. He got dropped from the feeder team for the Cleveland Indians.

But his dream lives on thanks to the $1 Million prize he just won on a ‘Sweet Millions’ scratch-off lottery ticket.

Joel, 21, picked the ticket up from a store in Elmont, New York whilst visiting his mum who lives in Queens.

His first thought was to buy his mum a new house. And Joel added:

My dream, since I was a kid, is baseball. That’s what I’m going to continue doing. I’m going to keep swinging, swinging for the fences.

The money will greatly help him to continue pursuing his dream of becoming a professional baseball player.
