Joseph Garcia, 29, stopped at a Shell station to fill up his car, and to cash in a couple of scratch off tickets.
And just like the rest of us, it’s hard to resist trading in those small wins for another scratcher, right?
So Joseph bought a Money Mania ticket.
He scratched the ticket right there in his car before he even left the Shell station. And was shocked to find the ticket was worth $50,000.
I had my friend check it right after I won because I wasn’t sure.
The ticket was then safely locked away in his parents safe until Tuesday when he was able to claim his prize from the Lottery Headquarters based in Baltimore.
Joseph plans to pay back money he owes his parents, and clear his student loans.
Then he plans to spend big, and treat himself to some new shoes.
