A lottery syndicate comprised of nine canteen workers from Retford have posted a £100,000 win after their Euromillions ticket matched five numbers and a lucky star. The nine canteen workers have been playing the lottery together for the past 12 years but have won nothing significant until now. Each member of the EuroMillions syndicate group will pocket an £11,000 share of the prize money.
The ladies purchased the winning ticket from Asda Retford, and waited two weeks after the April 11 draw before checking for results at Wilkinson’s on Carolgate . That means they left £100,000 in a cabinet for two whole weeks.
And to celebrate their win, the ladies who are known as ‘The Ranby Revellers’ have decided to travel to London.
