Retirement Not In Euromillions Winner’s Plans

One of the most common goals of people who play the lottery is to win enough money that they can retire comfortably on.  Single mum Ruth Breen is not like most people; after winning a million pounds in the lottery, the resident of Poolstock, Wigan promptly declared that she has no plans of leaving her job as a midwife at Wigan Infirmary.

Breen and her 11-year old daughter are no strangers to hard times, as they have been struggling with their finances, they could not even afford a landline – but that was before one of her tickets won the raffle draw of the Euromillions Lottery.  Now that they have money, Breen plans to pay off her mortgage, set aside a fund for her daughter’s education, go on small vacations, and even get a wi-fi- service connection.

But since she considers bringing babies into the world a blessing, Breen has no intention of resigning from her job.
