Lottery Winners In Arizona Cannot Remain Anonymous

A bill that would protect the identities of lottery winners, which has passed the Arizona house on a vote of 51-8 last February, was voted down by the Senate on a vote of 16-11.

Republican Rep. John Kavanagh, had earlier authored the bill based on concerns for the winners’ safety, if their identities are revealed to the public.

The Senate may still choose to reconsider their action at a later date.
