We often hear of middle-aged people and retirees winning the lottery; there must be more of them playing the various lottery games. And that is why it is refreshing to hear of a lottery playing syndicate composed of people who are younger than most winners posting a big win.
Thirteen members of an Irish Lotto syndicate from Donegal scooped a €4.9 million National Lottery jackpot, then went to have a cup of tea to celebrate. Almost all of the winners were shocked and most have already made plans for how they want to spend their share. Each member is due a €375,000 share of the prize. The members of the winning syndicate are employees of customer service business Forward Emphasis.
