Man Waits Out Storm Before Collecting A Cool Million

Peter King of Kennebunk, Maine, won a million dollars from the Maine Millionaire II game on Monday but had to wait out a severe snowstorm before he could show up to collect his winnings.

King will net $700,000 from the $20 winning ticket, after deductions for state and federal taxes.

Maine lottery officials say there are still two more million-dollar jackpots waiting to be won.
