We have heard about stories that are too good to be true.  How about one that involves a lottery jackpot, that not only sounds too good to be true, but actually happened?

Thirst almost literally led Cottageville resident to a fortune, when his quest for cola at a local BP station enticed him to purchase a $20 Powerball ticket. 

Co-workers offered to lend to money Jennifer Maldonado, the new worker for a Florida estate agent, for a share in buying 120 lottery tickets; she refused as she has not even received her first paycheck.

In a story that closely mirrors a recent BBC TV drama series, 16 workers at Swansea’s DVLA are now happily celebrating, after their ticket won the Euromillions Millionaire’s Raffle to the tune of £1 million. 

Casiano Quezada, a son of the $338 million jackpot winner from New Jersey says he expects his father do do something good with the money.

His father Pedro, the winner, had stated earlier that he intends to help the family with the proceeds of his winnings.

Pedro Quezada, will get about $221 million if he elects a single payment over an annuity, which after taxes will still yield $152 million.
