This week has seen several stories of real lottery luck beginning with that of a man who won two lottery prizes off tickets bought from the same store.

Two Virginians struck it rich playing different instant ticket games. Joe Burke of Norfolk won $3.5 Million while Amy James won a cool $4 million!

Burke took advantage of his lunch break to buy two “$3,500,000 Ultimate Millions” tickets from the BP One at 3711 Holland Road.

A man from Silver Springs may have set a rare lottery winning record of sorts. Construction worker Jorge Matamoras has managed to win significant lottery prizes twice.

Carpenters can be very patient. Joseph Suszko patiently played the same number combination, which is taken from birthdays of  family members. His patience and loyalty were rewarded with a win – a Pick 6 jackpot of  $2.5 million!

Generous Veteran Wins $300,000 for his Birthday

The saying that you reap what you sow certainly applies to a World War II veteran named Ervin Smolinski.

An Indian woman doctor, Nishita Radhakrishna Pillai, from Parappanangadi in Malappuram, has won the top prize of the Abu Dhabi Duty Free Raffle. The prize of ten million dirhams, or Rs 17.5 crore.

An Evansville man won a quick $300,000 playing the lottery and couldn’t be happier.

Tim Ruston, who plays the lottery regularly, had won a free quick pick from a previous purchase of Quick Draw.

Among the fantastic stories of lottery luck this week is that of a Canadian man of Iraqi descent whose $12 million win means he can finally visit his mother after 11 years.

California is trying for the record for the biggest scratcher lottery ticket – in the literal sense. The new Super Ticket issued by the California Lottery is 8 inches by 12 inches – just a tad smaller than an A4 sheet of paper!
