A caregiver has been accused of larceny after allegations were made that she stole and cashed a winning lottery ticket that belongs to an 80-year old client.
Police reports say that the old man bought a 50x The Cash scratch ticket which was verified to have won $100. However, the man was advised to claim his winnings from the lottery headquarters as the prize amount exceeded the amount the store could pay.
When he could not locate the ticket, the man contacted the lottery who found the ticket had been cashed by 24-year old Priscilla Prendiville, a substitute care worker sent to assist him at the time the ticket disappeared.
