When a Danish Father tells his two sons that he has won a huge lottery prize, there is not much reaction- at first. Even if you don’t speak Danish, the expressions in the voices speak volumes (don’t worry, there are English subtitles).
Reality only begins to set in when the father brings out one gift after another. With each round of gifts comes the very understandable “Oh my God!” which leaves one wondering whether that’s the way they say it in Danish as well. After gifts and envelopes come food and wine, and soon the family are celebrating, all the while voicing their appreciation for the blessings they have received from the almighty!
