Eight Hazlemere workers who have organized themselves into a betting syndicate have just claimed a Division 1 win worth $810,818. They held one of two Division 1 winning tickets for the weekend draw. The syndicate organizer had purchased their ticket at the Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk.
Their win did not come without some inspiration. Where they normally purchase 12 game slikpiks, their group’s organizer was somehow inspired to buy an 18 game slikpik, “to increase their chances”. That decision proved to be in their favor as their win came from the 13th line on their entry. Now each of them is $101,352 richer.
Most of the members of the group already know where they will spend their shares. Plans include mortgage payments, holidays and sharing the blessing with loved ones.
The other division 1 winner, who has yet to come forward with a claim, bought his/her winning ticket at the newsXpress Silver Sands in Mandurah
