Lottery Winner Goes Elk Hunting

If you learn you have won a $15 million lottery jackpot, will you delay claiming the money?  Well some people advise thinking things over, and consulting with financial advisers prior to claiming a life-changing lottery win, which, if you think about it, makes a lot of sense.

Delmer Hartwig, who just won $15 million in Friday’s Lotto Max, has no plans of claiming the prize immediately, though not for reasons related to prudence; he just doesn’t want to miss the elk hunting season.

Since learning of his huge windfall. Hartwig has called up his boss at the logging company where he worked as gravel truck operator, and basically retired.  The elk hunting trip had been planned well ahead of his win, and something he is not bound to miss.

He is still out in a bush camp somewhere and is not available for comment.
