People who win the lottery get to do what they please, with regard to finances. Many choose to retire after a hefty win, but there are some who just keep on working as before.
Barry and Amanda Lewis won a million pounds in the lottery last year. These days you can still see Amanda working at Wolverhampton’s Jack Hayward Way Asda. And she is not alone there. Her husband Barry still works as a tiler. When asked why they chose to continue working, the couple said it’s the only way to earn a living. Also, they say that work gives them a chance to socialize. It is a choice they consciously make, with their win only providing financial security.
Incredibly, just 200 meters separate them from another couple who had also won a million from the lottery. Stuart and Denise Powell won their million half a year before the Lewis couple did. What’s more interesting is that this couple have also kept on working!
Both pairs have invested part of their money in properties and treated their relatives.
