Carol Jones bought a Euromillions lottery ticket at Tesco in Llandudno Junction. And then because she did not believe she would ever win, she put the ticket in her handbag and promptly forgot about it.
The mum-of-three remembered the ticket when she went shopping, and decided that she might as well get it checked. When she was informed she was a big winner, she was so shocked that she had a hard time eating and sleeping. Her win was worth £1 million.
Now she and her husband Harold are planning to buy a new house, a new car and go on a safari. They also anticipate how good retirement will be now that they don’t have to scrimp on utilities.
