There are lucky people and there are insanely lucky people. An Irish man who has opted to remain anonymous has won half of a €25.6 million jackpot after ticking the “wrong” number on his ticket.
The man is now only too willing to make more of the same mistakes, after winning €12.8 million as a result of unintentionally ticking the number 32 on his play slip. He is still in the process of getting used to being a new millionaire, and could only wonder at his stroke of incredible luck; one that now opens many possibilities.
But more than luck, he seems to be protective of his windfall, even going as far as to say the money will allow him to take care of family for a long time.
The other half of the jackpot was won by a ticket sold in Spain.
