Broken Lottery Machine Shatters Car Workers Dreams

Workers at the Land Rover factory in Solihull, West Midlands could not believe their luck when their winnings numbers were drawn.

Unfortunately they didn’t have a ticket for the draw.

The day before the draw the ticket machine at their local shop was broken. So after some discussion they decided to leave it for that week.

Had they bought their normal ticket, the 6 syndicate members would have shared a prize of £173,400.

Forgetting to check your tickets and claim the winnings seems to be the most popular way to avoid winning the lottery. But not buying your tickets comes in at a close second.

Mind you, would you have watched the draw to find out if you would have won? Could you have resisted checking just to see?
