Lottery players Derek Daniels and his daughter Lorraine finally won a large chunk of money after several years playing together. Theirs was one of three tickets to share a £2,187,078 jackpot from the 20 April 2016 lotto draw.
The pair celebrated their success by bringing a huge bouquet of flowers, a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates to Mrs Parker and her team at the Parkers News on Whittlesey to thank them for selling the lucky ticket. The win has enabled them to buy a new car, a new home, and to invest for the future. They have even been able to repay the kindness they received from their community when they were still hard up for cash.
