Fake Scratch Card Claim Draws Humorous Response

A man named Jonny Smith tried to pass off what seems like an ineptly altered scratch card as a £250,000.  He claims that an accidental fire had obliterated a strategic portion of the ticket where the bar code and game number.  He also said that another “accident” caused ink to be spilled covering game numbers in another part of the ticket.

Lottery representative Hayley sent a humorous response advising the man to fire proof his home and to avoid using ink to prevent spillage.  In the same letter, the lottery also pointed to the extra £250,00 inexpertly glued on to the ticket and advised Smith to use a better type of glue.  The claim was denied.
