It took a double dose of luck for a farmer from Claremorris, Co. Mayo to win a €1 million lottery jackpot.
The married man had bought a €1.50 Quick Pick ticket for the National Lottery’s Daily Million game on Monday night, then stuck it in his unlocked car for a few days. Then two things happened: the numbers on his ticket matched all six numbers drawn, and even more fortunately, he still found the ticket in his unlocked car.
The winner plans to deposit the check in the bank until he can decide how to spend it. Right now he’s considering a few trips, a new car, and setting a portion aside for his children’s education.
