Forgetfulness Doubles Lottery Winner’s Jackpot

A Melbourne woman had been playing her usual number combination for a while, bought a ticket for the Saturday draw of the TattsLotto through an outlet at Melbourne Central Shopping Centre.  After forgetting she had already got her tickets, she went to another outlet at the same shopping center and bought the same combination all over again.

But her mistake proved to be a rather lucky one when her number combination ended up winning two shares of the division one jackpot – worth a total of A$835,149.68.

Now she has wisely declared that half the money will be used to pay off the mortgage on her home. She also plans to continue working.

Not all mistakes cost us. In this case her “mistake” doubled her win.
