The latest syndicate to post a significant lottery win is composed of 17 mortgage advisers from a Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage office in Greenock.
Their win can be attributed to regularly playing as a syndicate since 2009. They are quite happy now, but it took them more than a week after the draw to discover they have bagged £1,140,402.60 in the Jan. 30 draw. Many of them are considering putting a lump sum on their own homes – and to think that they work in a mortgage office!
It remains to be seen if these mortgage advisers encourage their clients to play the lottery to get out of debt.
