A man from Keene claimed the biggest Megamillions jackpot ever won in the state of New Hampshire. John Walker describes himself as feeling blessed after a Megamillions ticket he had bought earlier at the Park Avenue Deli and Market matched five of six numbers drawn Friday.
To add to his luck, Walker had paid an extra dollar for a megaplier option which multiplied his $1 million prize by five. He opines that his win came as a blessing for above, possibly for the charitable work he has done in past years. He declined to say more saying he wants to be as anonymous as possible.
Walker is set to receive $3.75 million net of taxes. The store earned a $30,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
