A Dublin man was so intent on counting coins for a trip to the US to visit a friend that he forgot about a €6 Quick Pick ticket he bought online for the Daily Millions draws of the National Lottery. It took a message from the lottery to get him to check his online account. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, won €500,000 in the National Lottery’s Daily Million Plus game.
The winner shared that he had been having a financial problems and was thinking of getting a loan to make life easier. But that was before he won. Now he can pay his bills, he can go on that trip, and life will improve significantly.
