Jokes do sometimes come true in wonderfully unexpected ways.
A Maryland man, who had bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket at a gas station earlier, joked to his fiancee that they would wake up as millionaires the next day. Lo and behold, when morning came, they discovered that their lottery ticket had just won a $26M jackpot for them.
The couple, who requested not to be identified, plan to buy a vacation home.
