A New Jersey couple friends say have helped so many people in times of need have just been rewarded with a significant lottery win. Randie and Jackie, who have only revealed their first names, have won a million dollar Mega Millions prize.
It’s a fitting reward for the hardworking couple who have been raising three grandchildren after their daughter died of Lupus at just 25. Jackie was overcome by emotion as they received their prize saying that it’s the beginning of good fortune for their family.
The ticket the couple bought from Long Branch Convenience on Broadway managed to match all white balls drawn on 31 March and just missed on the Mega Ball. That gave them the second tier prize of a million dollars.
The priorities for the winning couple are clearing their debts and saving for the futures of their granddaughters.
