When ten ladies who worked for the Tesco at Plymouth won a £3.7 million jackpot a year ago they said they would continue working at the store. In the year since, the ladies have bought houses and given donations to charity but only a handful remain at Tesco’s.
Allison Lonsdale, one of the few who have not chosen to retire, says she loves the job and her friends at the store too much to live. She immediately booked a vacation in Mexico her family later this year. She has gone on a holiday in Iceland, and tried her hand at investing in properties.
The good news is that the ladies have remained in regular contact and all have been quite sensible with the money.
