Rock legend Roger Daltrey was recently involved in literally drumming up support for the Health Lottery.  The frontman of legendary rock band “The Who” spoke of his support for the health lottery and even joined its owner in a drumming workshop, as part of the event.

Daltrey spoke of his half century of success with the famous band and says that now he finds satisfaction in spending some time with the people with learning disabilities supported by the Health Lottery.  He says that he feels privileged to have met cancer survivors whom he calls extraordinary, describing his interactions with them as ‘humbling.’

The Health Lottery has so far raised a total of  £55m through 51 local society lotteries.  The amount has been distributed to more than 1,300 health-related good causes.
