The year did not start well for Alan Tyrie as he lost his welder job on January 11th. But just two weeks later, he won a £1 million jackpot from the lottery – he did not even have a job to resign from by then!
The lottery came through just when they were worried about their finances. But though they are millionaires now, Tyrie and his wife Marjorie may still opt to continue working – the wife says they may be bored otherwise. But for now the couple plans to take at least a couple of months to think things over, with some advice from the people at Camelot.
