When money is not a problem, quick decisions should not come as a surprise. Big lottery winners Colin and Christine Weir took all of ten minutes to decide to purchase a £3.5 million mansion set in 32 acres of ground.
The Weirs, who won a £161 million Euromillions jackpot to claim the title of biggest lottery winners in the UK, will soon be calling Frognal their home. The mansion was originally built for a wealthy tea planter in 1909. Restaurant magnate Bill Costley and wife Catherine had it renovated in 2004, and even operated it briefly as a hotel.
At their new dream home, the Weirs will have almost every luxury imaginable including four elegant bedrooms, fountains, gardens, greenhouses, a circular bath, crystal chandeliers and lots of ground.
For this couple at least, their lottery win has proven to be bigger than their wildest dreams.
