If you’d like to know how it feels to win the lottery, just ask Richard and Dianne Buss. When they won £1,250 in 2012, they danced wildly around the room. But when they finally won a much bigger jackpot of £1.9 million a year later, they were too stunned to speak.
They discovered their win on a Sunday and spent a sleepless night waiting to get confirmation. Then they treated friends to food and booze at their home. In time they bought a new car, a few pieces of jewelry, two horses and a second home. Richard has since established his own business, and still enjoys work, while his wife is about to start volunteer work at a local hospital.
Both say their lifestyle has not changed much, they are only much more financially secure now.
