Woman Wins Top Prize Of The “$2,500 A Week For Life” Game

Dana Walsh was out running errands when, on impulse, she stopped at the Kinney Drugs and purchased two “$2,500 a Week for Life” game tickets. Then she continued with her errands.

It was while at the parking lot of the Dollar General when she remembered her tickets and decided to scratch them. Seeing the matching 11’s and the word “life” set her pulse racing. She actually looked around to see if there were cameras, thinking it must be a prank.

She drove back to Kinney Drug where she scanned the ticket, and then scanned it twice more at a different store. But the results still said “big winner” so she decided to call her husband who was then in Florida. She had won the top prize worth all of $2.5 milllion! It took some convincing for her husband to believe the blessings that have come their way.

The pair decided to split the winnings and receive the prize as a single lump sum payment. They will receive $659,061 each, net of all taxes. They want to use the money to pay off their mortgage, to pay off their son’s student loans, and to buy new cars.
