Samuel Deleon Reyes of Providence credits an orange for helping him win $10,000. Samuel used the four digits he saw stamped on his orange when he placed a dollar bet on two four-digit straight tickets. When the number 3107 was drawn, each ticket won $5,000. Samuel is embarking on a trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate his win.
Lottery officials say another person who based his bets on numbers stamped on an orange also won $2604 the same day.
