The cost of Alabama’s Medicaid program has almost doubled in the last ten years and it is a struggle for find the money to keep it running. Governor Robert Bentley proposes that a statewide lottery to benefit Medicaid is the only way to get funds for the program.
The governor has stated he believes such a move would be supported by 70% of his people.
