A woman has just won a $US188.9 million jackpot from the Powerball Lottery and wants to be as quiet about it as the law allows.
Lottery officials released the name of the winner as one Maria Herrera of Glendale, Arizona, who bought the winning ticket from a local QuickTrip convenience store. The lucky winner later opted to receive a lump sum cash payment of $119,993,157 before taxes instead of receiving the full amount over a 30-year period. Herrera declined to give any further details about herself.
The QuickTrip convenience store where she bought the winning ticket from earned a $25,000 bonus.
