Wales is generally not the first place you think of as the home of pro cage fighting.
But that’s where new EuroMillions millionaire Gavin Davies lives, in Neath, South Wales.
Gavin, 29, didn’t even realise he had won until 2 weeks after the 27th December draw – as he forgot to check the extra raffle number on the 4 EuroMillions tickets he bought. (Millionaire Raffle is an add-on game played in the UK).
It was only after the lottery company had begun the search for a winner in South Wales that Gavin’s grandparents told him to make sure he had checked his tickets.
So Gavin was stunned to find out one of his tickets was actually worth a £1 Million.
And as a young male twenty-something, Gavin’s first thoughts of what to do with the money was buy a car.
But not just any car.
For Gavin it’s a brand new Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder which depending on his final choice of model will allow him to reach that all important speed of 60mph within about 4 seconds flat.
Having spent £200,000 of the winnings on his car, Gavin also plans to buy a new car for his partner too. Although we suspect this might be a more modest model than the Gallardo.
Thankfully he does plan to save and invest the remaining money for the future, after taking the whole family away for a holiday that is.
