When he dropped by a 7-11 in Ashburn, Virginia, after a workout, he decided to buy a Cash 5 lottery ticket using a number combination suggested by his grandmother, which was 1-3-4-7-9.
After the draw, Davis checked on the lottery website and discovered his number had won a $100,000 prize! For a student-athlete to win that kind of money means he won’t have to worry about college expenses as long as he does not squander the windfall.
