A couple from Portsmouth Virginia may just have broken records for lottery luck. For Calvin and Zatera Spencer, March 2014 is an unforgettable month when they were blessed with lottery bounty an incredible three times.
Their string of luck began when they won a million dollar prize on the March 12 draw of the Powerball lottery. Despite being millionaires, they still bought lottery tickets, and on March 26 ten winning tickets on the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 4 game gave Spencer another $50,000.
Still not content with what they have, they continued buying lottery tickets and won big again the very next day. After dropping his wife off, Spencer bought a $100 Million Cash Extravaganza ticket and won another million dollars.
The Spencers chose a lump sum payment of $681,000 before taxes for their latest win. Nor do they believe it will be their last. The plan to continue playing the lottery.
The 7-Eleven at 100 West 21st Street in Norfolk t earned a $10,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the winning $100 Million Cash Extravaganza ticket.
