When Dennis Klaus and Mary Ann Daino each lost their homes to hurricane Sandy a few years back, they found themselves in Connecticut. A local church helped them by lending them trailers for a year. After that they leased a trailer together.
Then blessings came to them through a different medium – this time through the lottery. They have won $250,000 in prize money which equates to about $180,000 net of taxes. Impressed with the way they have been received in Connecticut, the happy couple plans to use their money to buy a home in New Milford.
