To simply say that John Bowman has come into some money is a gross understatement. The lucky bloke has landed a £10.3 million lottery jackpot.
The 53-year old father of two checked his tickets for the Saturday draw and initially thought he had won £10,000. But when he asked a friend to double-check, they found the amount was actually over £10 million. He immediately phoned his daughters whom he say he will take care of with the money. He has celebrated with a pint of beer, plans to see the Monaco Grand Prix and will retire from his job at a ladder company.
