A man from Boca Raton believed in the numbers he saw printed on a fortune cookie so much that he used them on his Florida Lottery ticket. The ticket won a $10 million jackpot in the Aug. 22 draw.
Richard Davies waited a few weeks before deciding to claim his prize at the lottery headquarters. He has since chosen to receive his fortune in a one time payment of a little over $7 million. The Publix store which sold the winning ticket earned a $50,000 commission.
