For Christmas this year Chanthy Mouen’s brother gave her a $10 Massachusetts Lottery scratch ticket. The gift has expanded in value since then after revealing a $1 million jackpot prize.
The lucky lady has since chosen to receive a one-time payment of $650,000. She has also revealed that she intends to spread the Christmas cheer by setting aside a portion of her winnings for the education needs of her nephews and nieces.
The Sunoco convenience store on River Street in Haverhill earned a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
