Some lottery players sometimes brave rain and snow just to get entries to the games of their choice. But there are also many cases of people neglecting their lottery tickets – some of them worth a lot of money. One such case happened to a Rosemead man.
The Powerball lottery looked at surveillance video from the Rosemead market where a ticket winning more than a million dollars was sold. Unfortunately, though they were able to track the man down, the winner had lost the winning ticket.
The unlucky man came away with nothing, and the $1.1 million will all go to California public schools, the fate of all unclaimed lottery prizes.
