Esther claims she is crazy. Since winning a $205,442 jackpot in the lottery she has spent her time trying to get rid of all her money. It’s enough to make one wonder why she plays the lottery at all.
Initially she gave her sister half of her winnings. Then she proceeded to give away small and not so small amounts to other people, including $500 to the girl who sold her the winning ticket. Esther says at 65, she does not need the money. In fact she has only bought a TV and a computer for herself.
Esther says it is also because they were taught to always share.
