Olive Scott, 66, from Kirkton, won £50,000 from the National Lottery after her ticket matched five numbers and the bonus ball in Saturday’s draw. But in the beginning she was excited she thought she had won £53; she only learned she had won much more when her won went to a local store to claim the winnings and was advised to go straight to the lottery offices.
Now she is thinking about completing the home renovation that had stalled due to lack of funds, maybe a bit of travel, and a shopping spree or two.
