Man Misses £34 Million Jackpot: Played Different Numbers For First Time In Years

For almost six years Gavin Lapsley, a worker from Tillicoultry, Clacks, always  bet on his favorite combination of 5, 11, 16, 25 and 28, plus lucky stars 7 and 9.

Last Tuesday, he forgot to bring his fast play card with his chosen numbers.  Not wishing to walk all the way back to his staffroom locker, he bet on a different combination for the first time in years. It would prove to be a £34 million mistake.

He found that his favorite combination had come up, the very next morning when the results were announced.
