In a testament to how people keep buying lottery tickets when they don’t expect to win, a 72-year old man learned of his good fortune a full month after the draw.
Bill Brady had bought a Lucky Day Lotto ticket at the 7-Eleven at 1500 Illinois Route 59 in Bartlett, then promptly forgot about it. When he opened his wallet at a gas station a month later, he found the ticket and discovered it had won a $200,000 prize.
Now Brady plans to use part of the money to pay for his upcoming wedding this spring. The 7-11 store which sold the winning ticket earned a $2000 bonus.
