They say if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. This is what has made an Ashburn man an instant millionaire!

When Srinivas Kalla went out to take his child to dance lessons he passed by a grocery store and bought some lottery tickets, none of which won any prize. When he passed by the store later the same day, he took a chance on another ticket – a Hot Millions Multiplier. And this time the ticket was really hot.  After he scratched it Srinivas thought he had won maybe $5K to $10K, but it was much more. He had bagged the top prize of $4 million.

The data analyst later chose a single pretax sum of about $2.25 million over an option that would have paid the full $4 million over a span of 30 years. The winner declared that the win will not change their family.

The Harris Teeter at 42415 Ryan Road in Ashburn will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
