Nineteen-year old student Imari Shelton was attracted by the big Powerball jackpot but did not know how to play. That is when her mother came to her aid.
Shelton bought five tickets for Saturdays draw which featured a jackpot of $900 million through her mother’s help. She did not quite hit the big jackpot but ended up with a five number match worth $1 million.
The winner says the money will help see her through law school. And since no one won that $900 million jackpot she will try for the next draw which is expected to offer a jackpot exceeding a billion dollars.
