The National Lottery announced big changes which are aimed at increasing prizes and giving more chances for players to become instant millionaires.
From just 49 numbers, the lottery has decided to add ten more balls to make the total 59. With the change, jackpot prizes are expected to triple. To further improve player’s chances of winning millions, a millionaire raffle will be held which will give out a £1million prize. This gives lotto players a second chance of winning with the same ticket. Players who match just two numbers are given a lucky dip ticket for the next draw. Other consolation prizes remain the same.
The changes are set to be implemented sometime in October.
